Once apon a time I wrote in a beautiful, sacred space that I called Love and Light...many things have changed, transformed, died and been born since that space began and now in this, the new year of 2017, I have decided to begin anew by writing my heart songs in this space. In this moment there is much bubbling with in me along side the need to release all that once was and honour it in a way that feels right to my heart and being...So in the meant time I will open this space with the wise woman thoughts of the newly departed Carrie Fisher....
may you rest in peace Brave One,
thank you for "the crazy"!
"What I have Learned"
by Carrie Fisher
taken from her book "Wishful Drinking"
*Resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die
*Saying you're an alcoholic and an addict is like saying you're from Los Angeles and from California *Some of the wisdom I have gotten from my grandmother (my mom's mom) the closet locker, who taught me, "A fly is likely to land on shit as it is on pie." (Which is true if you think about it). She also said, "Cry all you want, you'll pee less."(I don't know if that's true though)
*But the main thing I've learned, I've learned all by myself, no help needed. I learned not to get my tongue peirced. Because if you're getting your tongue peirced for the reason why I think you're getting it peirced and you're not good at that thing to begin with, no little piece of jewelry is going to save the day.
